For Information School scholar, art holds key to Native knowledge
For many years, the only safe way for American Indians to express their culture was through artwork, commodities often sold to tourists, says Miranda Belarde-Lewis (Zuni/Tlingit), an assistant professor in the Information School. She has studied Native art in her work at museums and now in her academic career at the UW.

Enroll in the UW Husky Coronavirus Testing program
Students and employees at all three UW campuses can now sign up for Husky Coronavirus Testing. Any UW community member who will be on campus, or who is living with several other people in neighborhoods near campus, is strongly encouraged to enroll.
